COLORADO SPRINGS — Some Colorado Springs residents are angry over tree-cutting aimed at improving forest health inside the city limits.

City contractors are removing trees at about a dozen areas in town to remove dead and unwanted trees.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, the Colorado Springs City Council approved $1 million from its reserve funds for fuel reduction and forest restoration following several disastrous wildfires.
