Cops investigating double stabbing in Clifton

Authorities are releasing few details about a stabbing at a Clifton home that sent two men to the hospital Wednesday night.

Deputies responded to 3268 E Road, No. 62, about 9:30 p.m. and found two men with stab wounds. A woman was taken to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department to meet with investigators as a possible witness, sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said.

The two men were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, but their condition is unknown. No arrests have been made. Benjamin said investigators believe the men are the only two people involved in the incident.

Benjamin declined to specify the injuries the men sustained or their relationship to one another or the woman, citing an ongoing investigation.

A search warrant obtained for the home has been sealed.
