Cops: Price couple dead in apparent murder-suicide
PRICE, Utah — A Price couple is dead in what investigators are calling an apparent murder-suicide.
Police say 37-year-old David Donaldson called dispatchers early Sunday to notify them he had shot his 32-year-old wife, Shaniel Donaldson, in the master bedroom, and planned to shoot himself at the home.
Four children were then safely removed from the home as officers tried to make contact with David Donaldson, who remained inside.
When a Carbon County SWAT team entered the home, it found the bodies of both the husband and wife in the master bedroom.
Price police Capt. Bill Barnes told the Deseret News that he and others are surprised because there was no history of “domestic discord” in the home.
The children, who were unharmed, are in the custody of family members.
