Crash victim identified

The woman who died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday at Railroad Boulevard and River Road has been identified as 76-year-old Donna Leonore Richards of Nucla, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death is accident, the Coroner’s Office said in a news release issued this morning.

Richards was driving a mid-size SUV when her vehicle collided with a Ford F350 around 4:40 p.m. Saturday. The Ford was driven by an unidentified man, who was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. The Colorado State Patrol has yet to release any other details about the accident.
