Delta man’s death labeled suspicious

The Delta Police Department is investigating a man’s suspicious death Monday night.

Officers were called around 8:12 p.m. to a report of possible suspicious activity in the area of H-38 Road and U.S. Highway 50. They arrived to find a man dead on the ground on private property. The police said in a news release a cause of death was still unknown, but the victim wasn’t shot.

The man’s name was being withheld pending notification of family.
