Dog owners warned of poisoned meatballs in park

GUNBARREL — Boulder County authorities are warning pet owners about an apparent attempt to poison dogs with tainted meatballs in a Gunbarrel park.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, at least one dog has been treated so far for suspected poisoning.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says several people reported finding raw meatballs on Monday and people are looking for more of them. Authorities believe the meatballs contained rat poison.
