Driver killed in GarCo wreck

A 32 year old man died Saturday after rolling his car in Garfield County.

The man was driving west on Garfield County Road 346 between Rifle and Silt when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, skidded counter-clockwise and then rolled several times down an embankment. The man was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue.

The man was already dead when emergency medical workers from the Rifle Fire Department arrived at the scene around 8:50 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation, the Colorado State Patrol said.
