DUI enforcement stepped up for St. Patrick’s Day
DENVER — The Colorado State Patrol is stepping up DUI enforcement across the state for St. Patrick’s Day.
About 90 law enforcement agencies will be on the lookout through Tuesday.
Patrol Chief Scott Hernandez is encouraging party-goers not to get behind the wheel if they have been drinking or using drugs, including marijuana.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says that in 2013, officers made 486 DUI arrests during St. Patrick’s Day weekend
