East Portal Road closed for winter

The Bureau of Reclamation announced Tuesday the closing of the East Portal Road due to icy conditions.

The road, located east of Montrose, provides access to the Gunnison River within the Curecanti National Recreation Area, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and Crystal Dam.
