Emergency plane landing at Montrose airport

MONTROSE — Pilots of a military C-130 aircraft made a safe emergency landing at Montrose Regional Airport on Thursday.

The plane was en route to California from New Jersey when engine fire indication lights led the pilots to shut down an engine and land at the western Colorado airfield.

According to KJCT-TV, emergency crews were on hand and were prepared to assist.

Three pilots and three passengers were uninjured.
