Ex-Colorado lawmaker to work for Energy Department

DENVER — Former Colorado House Majority Leader Alice Madden is heading to Washington to work for the Department of Energy.

The Denver Post reports the Boulder Democrat will serve as deputy assistant secretary of intergovernmental affairs and external relations.

Madden and then-Speaker Andrew Romanoff led the House Democrats for four years until term limits forced them out after 2008.
