Federal courtroom to remain open
The courtroom in the federal building in downtown Grand Junction will remain open.
U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., announced that the third-floor courtroom, which had been on a list of courtrooms to be considered for closure, will remain open. Courtrooms in other states, however, will close.
The Wayne N. Aspinall Building in which the courtroom is housed is undergoing extensive renovations.
