RSSFeds seek help in locating sex offender

The U.S. Marshals Service today was asking for the public’s help locating a federally registered sex offender who reportedly walked away from a Denver half-way house last week.
An arrest warrant issued last Friday for Matthew Preston Caulk, 46, after he allegedly absconded from supervision in Denver, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Caulk in May 2010 was sentenced to serve 45 months in federal prison following a conviction for failure to register as a sex offender. After his incarceration, he was ordered to serve eight years of supervised release. The original failure to register conviction stems from a prior sexual assault case in Washington state, after which he moved to Colorado but failed to register.
In 2007, while unregistered and on the run from authorities in Colorado, Caulk committed another sexual assault in Lakewood for which he was convicted and served a state sentence.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 1-877-WANTED2, or the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers, 720-913-STOP. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for his arrest.
