Fire torches Clifton home, garage overnight

Clifton firefighters extinguished a house fire just after midnight Saturday at 494 Chatfield Circle, a blaze that is estimated to have caused some $250,000 in damages.

Crews responded to the home owned by Tim and Denise Denning at 12:10 a.m., finding a garage at the home fully involved, as well as two vehicles in the driveway. All occupants of the home escaped the fire and there were no injuries, according to fire officials.

The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation.
