Firearms, meth found in Montrose raid

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms officers and members of the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team arrested three people and confiscated more than 60 firearms, some assault rifles, and a small amount of meth during a raid of a Falcon Road residence Saturday.

Rolland Anders, 61, is free on bond after being booked on suspicion of drug and gun trafficking.

David Daley, 55, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession with intent to distribute after officers said they found him in possession of more than 2 grams of meth.

Verna Betz was arrested on suspicion of possession of less than 2 grams of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a news release from the 7th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Daley and Betz were arrested earlier this month during a traffic stop in which officers found meth, digital scales, drug paraphernalia and $4,000 in cash.

Betz was being held on a $10,000 bond, and Daley was being held on a $25,000 bond. Each is scheduled to return to court Aug. 4. Anders’ next court date is Aug. 24.
