Flood watch canceled for region
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has canceled the flash flood watch that previously was in effect until midnight tonight for eastern Utah and western Colorado.
Forecasters have downgraded the chance for rain from 60 percent this afternoon and tonight to 40 percent this afternoon and 20 percent tonight.
A drying and warming trend is in store after the monsoonal moisture moves out of the region. Grand Junction should see highs in the low 90s and no rain for the next several days, according to the Weather Service.
