Game 14: Cochise 16, Neosho 1

Cochise (Ariz.) College rolled to 16-1 victory in a rematch with Neosho County (Kan.) Community College in an Alpine Bank Junior College World Series elimination game at Suplizio Field.

Neosho County defeated Cochise 2-1 in each teams’ tournament opener on Sunday night.

The Apaches scored seven runs in the first inning. They added two in the second, four in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Cochise’s Jake Luna was 1 for 1 with a three-run home run. Tagg Duce was 2 for 3 with three RBI and Stephan Desgagne was 2 for 3 with three RBI.

Jacob Potts limited the Panthers to one run on four hits in five innings for the victory. He threw 64 pitches.
