Girl born to mom hit by lightning

COLORADO SPRINGS — A southern Colorado mother-to-be hit by lightning last summer has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

Stephanie Alberti was just 13 weeks pregnant when she was hit by lightning while she was at a race track cheering her husband. Four other people also were hit.

Alberti was temporarily paralyzed and she worried about her baby.

According to KKTV-TV, the family plans to tell baby Sophia, who is now back home, about what happened when she’s older.

The other four people also survived.
