GJ on Accident Alert due to adverse road conditions

The City of Grand Junction issued an Accident Alert at 8:15 p.m. Thursday because of adverse road conditions, according to both the Grand Junction Police Dept. and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

This means if you’re involved in a non-injury car crash where no one is intoxicated or needs a tow then exchange registration, insurance and contact information with involved parties and report it to the Grand Junction Police Dept., 555 Ute Ave., within 48 hours.

Motorists also can call 242-6707 once the Accident Alert has been lifted.

As of 7:53 p.m., Thursday, the National Weather Service reported on its website that Grand Junction had received 0.24 inches of snow.
