GJ ties record low
Grand Junction tied a 101-year-old record this morning when the thermometer plunged to 8 below zero, according to the National Weather Service.
This morning’s low of minus 8, recorded at 5:01 a.m. at Grand Junction Regional Airport, tied the record set on Jan. 3, 1912.
Today’s high is expected to top out at 21 degrees. It looks like it could be several days before Grand Junction reaches the freezing mark.
