Grand County deputy injured outside hotel

HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS — The Grand County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy has been injured in a shooting outside a hotel in Hot Sulphur Springs.

Grand County Undersheriff Jim Campbell said Tuesday there was a shooting overnight and the deputy involved in the shooting has minor injuries. He would not release any details about the suspect or the deputy’s injuries.

The shooting happened overnight outside the Riverside Hotel.

Campbell said the Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist.
