Grand Junction hires volleyball coach

Grand Junction High School promoted Shawna Emmons to varsity head volleyball coach Friday.

Emmons was the Tigers junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach the past three seasons.

She has more than 20 years of coaching volleyball experience at the middle school, club and high school levels, according to a release from Grand Junction High School.

Emmons is a sixth grade math teacher at West Middle School.
