Harper ejected from game

Southern Nevada catcher Bryce Harper was ejected from tonight’s game in the fifth inning after striking out with one runner on base. After the called third strike by home plate umpire Don Gilmore, Harper swiped at the dirt with his bat and walked off the field. He apparently said something, because Gilmore immediately gave the ejection sign.

Under NJCAA rules, Harper cannot play tomorrow. He is the second player ejected from this week’s tournament. Crowder (Mo.) College’s Alex Larkin was ejected after striking out Tuesday and could not play in the Roughriders’ final game today.
