Head-spinning changes

Change is inevitable but Coloradans may be forgiven if recent changes are making their heads spin.

Who would have believed, say five years ago, that there would be gatherings in Grand Junction to celebrate legal civil unions between same-sex couples? Or that marijuana would be legal and we would now be debating how much to tax it?

Nationally, who’d have thought that one of the top centers in the NBA would announce he is gay, and other pro sports would be preparing to deal with similar announcements?

Readers can decide for themselves whether they view these changes as good or bad, but they make us wonder what our world will look like in another five years.
