Hearing continues for theater shooting suspect

CENTENNIAL — A prosecution witness is expected to continue his testimony Wednesday at a hearing for the man accused of killing 12 people and injuring 70 others during a shooting at an Aurora theater.

James Holmes’ mental state is expected to be the focus of legal arguments that could be presented later this week.

Prosecutors on Tuesday called their final witness, who was expected to continue his testimony Wednesday.

Detectives testified Tuesday that Holmes spent more than two months assembling an arsenal for the July 20 assault.
