Heavy rain causing flooding in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Heavy rain is causing some flooding in and around Colorado Springs.

The area getting hit by storms Monday includes the Waldo Canyon burn scar.

The Gazette reports that some roads were shut down because of flooding.

The National Weather Service says that 1.2 inches of rain fell near Peterson Air Force Base in just a half hour.
