Hickenlooper is W. Slope bound

Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, the Democrat running for Colorado governor this fall, will be on the Western Slope this weekend.

Hickenlooper will be at the High Mountain Institute in Leadville at 2 p.m. today.

On Sunday, the mayor will head west, first to meet Carbondale residents at Sopris Park, Seventh Avenue and Main Street, at 10 a.m., and later in Palisade. He will tour High Country Orchard and Vineyards, 3548 E 1/2 Road, at 1 p.m.
