Hickenlooper puts Palisade man on State Agricultural Commission
Gov. John Hickenlooper named a Palisade man to the State Agricultural Commission on Wednesday.
Thomas K. Cameron, a Democrat, will represent the state’s fourth agricultural district. His term will expire March 1, 2015.
The nine-member commission advises the state’s agriculture commissioner, John Salazar, on issues related to the industry, including state agriculture policies and regulations overseeing farming and ranching.
Cameron was one of four Democrats and one Republican that Hickenlooper named to the panel.
The new members require confirmation by the Colorado Senate.
