Holt’s goal lands Mavs in RMAC finals

Kaitlynn Holt scored in the 60th minute today to give Colorado Mesa University a 1-0 victory over top-seeded Regis in the semifinals of the RMAC women’s soccer tournament.

The Mavericks, the fourth seed, play for the RMAC title at 1 p.m. Sunday against Colorado School of Mines, which upended Fort Lewis 2-1 in a shootout. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the second overtime. The Orediggers’ Danielle Hering scored in the final round, giving Mines a 3-1 advantage in penalty kicks.
