I-70 through mountains reopens after accidents

Interstate 70 through Colorado’s high country has reopened after traffic had been halted in several locations this afternoon due to multiple accidents resulting from severe weather.

The Colorado Department of Transportation previously had reported closures of eastbound I-70 on Vail Pass and westbound I-70 at Floyd Hill near Idaho Springs and at Silverthorne.
