Idaho fugitive waives extradition

An Idaho man wanted in connection with the shooting of his girlfriend waived extradition at a hearing this morning, according to Mesa County court records.

Thomas Trevino, 30, of Twin Falls, Idaho, signed paperwork ensuring his future return to Idaho, where he faces a charge of felony aggravated battery in the shooting of a 24-year-old woman at a hotel in Twin Falls on July 5.

Trevino was arrested in Grand Junction July 7 and had been the focus an extensive manhunt by local law enforcement.
