Lakewood police say bones possible occult items

LAKEWOOD — Lakewood police are investigating the discovery of possible human bones and items which they say may have been used in occult religious ceremonies.

The bones were found in a tool shed outside a vacant home on Thursday. Police say there is no proof the bones are human or were the result of foul play.

Police spokesman Steve Davis says the bones have been sent to a laboratory for testing. Davis says detectives also found what appeared to be an occult altar with a machete and some candles.
