Learn what things in nature do in winter

School may be out for winter break, but learning never takes a break.

The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens is sponsoring a program for children ages 8–12 to help them understand what happens to plants, insects and wildlife during the winter months.

The program will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Dec. 27–30, at the gardens and nearby Watson Island and the Colorado Riverfront Trail.

Call 245-3288 for information.
