Man helps Denver police subdue gunman

DENVER — Denver police are praising a man who saw a police officer struggling with a gunman and jumped in to help subdue the suspect.

Police say the officer was checking on a woman who had collapsed Sunday and was being held by two men.

One of the men ran away and the officer caught him running in traffic.

According to KMGH-TV , the unidentified citizen spotted a gun in the suspect’s hand and took it away.
