Man killed in police chase shooting

THORNTON — The Thornton Police Department says a man was shot and killed by officers following a pursuit that went from Thornton to Denver and back early Friday.

Police say they were responding to a possible domestic violence incident where a gun was fired. Officers saw a vehicle leaving the area and they tried to stop it. Police say a pursuit started that ended back in Thornton.

Police say the suspect was driving through an apartment complex and tried to intentionally collide with two patrol cars when he was shot by officers.
