DENVER — Marijuana opponents are trying again to stop the printing of a state voter guide about a proposal to make the drug legal.
The marijuana activists say that lawmakers erred when they took out language saying marijuana is “less harmful than alcohol,” among other arguments.
The legislative panel cut arguments that were in favor of legalization from a state-produced voter guide. The so-called “blue book” goes to nearly 2 million voters and describes the ballot measures to voters.
A lawyer for the state Legislature argued this week that the court can’t interfere in the legislative matter.
Another hearing is set for Wednesday afternoon, when a Denver judge is expected to decide whether to dismiss the marijuana activists’ claim.
