Medicine for terminally ill awaits Colorado vote

DENVER — A proposal to allow terminally ill people access to drugs that are still completing clinical trials awaits a vote in Colorado.

A House committee scheduled a vote this morning on access to drugs that have not yet been approved by the Federal Drug Administration.

Similar proposals are pending in several states. The so-called “Right To Try” legislation still requires doctors to sign off on the use of an investigational product.
