Men tried to grab girl, 11

Grand Junction police are investigating the attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl Tuesday morning on 13th Street south of Orchard Avenue.

As she walked to school, three men tried to pull her inside a red quad-cab pickup with a sticker in the back window, police spokeswoman Kate Porras said.

The men’s descriptions:

•  A 6-foot white male with short blond hair, wearing blue jeans and a red jersey;

•  A white male with short brown spiky hair, wearing Nike shoes and a black hooded sweatshirt;

•  A white male with hair in long bangs parted in the front, wearing a blue sweatshirt and a ball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 242-6707.
