Mesa County Coroner: Man’s death in the desert a homicide
The death of a 50-year-old man in the desert this weekend has been ruled a homicide by the Mesa County Coroner’s Office, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Police believe the deceased, David Albert Gerry of Grand Junction, was at a party late Friday night in the desert, when he was killed.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office is not listing Gerry’s cause of death because the investigation is active, the sheriff’s department said.
Gerry’s body was discovered Saturday in the desert near 29 Road.
Investigators are attempting to speak with people who were at the party with Gerry. Anyone who attended the party can call Investigator Peter Burg at 244-3263.
