UPDATE: Mesa County releases preliminary election results

Results are in for 77 percent of active voters registered in Mesa County.

As of 9 p.m., votes for 60,554 county voters have been counted. Voter turnout is expected to be above 89 percent by the time all ballots are counted.

Barack Obama/Joe Biden (D) — 33 percent (19,826 votes)
