RSSMesa women eighth in first regional soccer poll
The Colorado Mesa University women’s soccer team is ranked eighth in the first NCAA Regional Soccer poll of the season, released Wednesday.
The top six teams in the final NCAA regional polls qualify for the NCAA tournament, starting Nov. 9. The tournament selections will take place on Nov. 5.
The Mavericks (8-3-3) play three teams ahead of them in the South Central Region in the next two weeks, including No. 3 Metro State (10-3-1) at 7 p.m. Friday and No. 7 Regis (9-4-1) at noon Sunday at Walker Field.
The Colorado Mesa men’s team is not ranked in the South Central Region, but the Mavericks play two of top four ranked teams in the next two weeks.
Four teams in the region qualify for the NCAA tournament.
