Metro hot-shooting eliminates CMU women
DENVER - Metro State shot 61 percent from the floor, including 66 percent from the 3-point line to defeat the Colorado Mesa women’s basketball team 84-61 in the first round of the RMAC Shootout at Auraria Events Center.
The Roadrunners went on a 7-0 run late in the first half and a 10-2 run early in the second half to pull away.
Four players scored in double figures for Metro State, led by Caley Dow with 15 points
Kelsey Sigl led Mesa with 18 points. Katrina Selsor and Tara Gehring each scored 12.
