Mom pulled infant out of rolled-over car in Aurora

AURORA — Police say a woman was able to pull her five-week-old infant out of their car after their car was hit by another driver in Aurora.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Monday on South Parker Road and caused backups during the morning rush hour.

A Jeep hit the back of the woman’s car and the driver of the Jeep was thrown from the vehicle. Both vehicles rolled over.

KUSA-TV reported that the baby was in a car seat and that the mother was able to get him out of the car.

One witness said the she saw the Jeep going about 100 mph before the crash. The speed limit is 45 mph.

The Jeep driver suffered serious injuries. The woman and her baby were also taken to the hospital.
