RSSPolice: Suspect in custody for Naturita shooting

Montrose County has arrested a man in connection with a Monday night shooting in Naturita.
Ronald McGuffee has been arrested for his involvement in the shooting, Montrose police said this morning.
No other details about the man or his alleged connection to the shooting have been released.
A law enforcement radio bulletin broadcast just before 6 a.m. Tuesday said authorities should exercise extreme caution if they contact 48-year-old Ronald McGuffee of Naturita, according to Montrose County sheriff’s spokeswoman Bobbie McCoid.
McGuffee was sought in connection with a shooting Monday night, McCoid said, citing the bulletin.
McGuffee was described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds. His last known direction of travel was unknown.
The Naturita Marshal’s Office was investigating the incident and was assisted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Neither agency immediately responded to phone messages Tuesday.
