Montrose falls in Class 4A football championship

The Montrose Indians football team lost to Pine Creek 49-14 on Saturday during the Class 4A football championship at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
Pine Creek scored 21 points in the third quarter to extend a 21-7 lead at halftime.
Led by Austin Schultz, the Eagles out-rushed Montrose 401 yards rushing to 171.
Mike Rocha led the Indians with 21 carries and 84 yards rushing, and Angelo Youngren added 19 carries for 64 yards rushing and a score on the ground.
Youngren also caught a 57-yard touchdown from Kameron DeVincentis.
The Indians end the season with a 12-2 record.
