Monument waives entry fees for National Park Week
Colorado National Monument will waive all entrance fees for nine days during National Park Week, Saturday through April 29.
Along with free entry, the monument is offering a series of special ranger-led activities throughout the week in conjunction with the National Park Week theme, “Picture Yourself in a National Park.”
Activities include a poetry workshop 9-11 a.m. Saturday; presentations on geology, wildlife and constellations; and a concert of Native American style music “Echoes to the Sunset,” presented by local artist Tony Babbit, 6:30-8 p.m. April 28.
All events are free but some are space limited.
A list of all activities is available from the monument visitor center at 858-3617, ext. 360.
