Nev. Senate hopeful Angle speaking in Steamboat

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — U.S. Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle is in Steamboat Springs to speak to a conservative group during its annual conference.

Tea-party favorite Angle is in a close race against Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. She’s speaking this afternoon at the Steamboat Institute’s second annual Freedom Conference.

The Freedom Conference advocates for limited government, lower taxes, and a strong national defense.

President George W. Bush’s former adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to deliver the keynote address to the group.
