New marijuana rules clear Colo. House

DENVER — New marijuana rules for dispensaries, caregivers and patients in Colorado have been given final approval in the Colorado House.

The House voted 52-12 for the measure with no debate today. The bill includes new rules for dispensaries on keeping patient records private, among other changes.

The bill also requires caregivers to tell the state where they’re growing pot, and tweaks video surveillance requirements for patients shopping in dispensaries.

The measure also extends a moratorium on new dispensaries by a year, to the summer of 2012. The measure now heads to the Senate.
