No Colorado ties for woman whose body was dumped

GOLDEN — Authorities say a woman whose body was dumped on Lookout Mountain west of Denver did not have any ties to Colorado.

Mark Techmeyer, a spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, tells The Denver Post (http://bit.ly/1jaq1T9 ) the woman was identified by her fingerprints because she has a criminal record in another state. But her name and age will not be released until investigators can notify family members of her death.

A hiker found the body near Windy Saddle Park and the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave on Thursday morning. Investigators believe the woman was killed within 24 hours of her body being dumped.

Authorities have eliminated the possibility that the woman killed herself, but they have not said how she was killed.
