No fire restriction for holiday

No fire restrictions will be in place during the July 4th holiday weekend, although local agencies urge caution when grilling outdoors, lighting camp fires or setting off fireworks.

Unlike parched summers in recent history, fuel conditions this year are favorable enough that fire restrictions are not planned across much of the Western Slope, according to a press release from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

Fire restriction and ban information is available at http://www.coemergency.com/p/fire-bans-danger.html.
